The living room is large and open, with plenty of space for furniture, entertainment center, and bookshelves. The fireplace is a nice feature. We have not used it, but it has gas plumbed to it for gas logs, or you could put in a gas insert.
I grew up in house on this street and I remember it being my favorite house I ever lived in. This one has the exact same layout and even a very similar decor with all the wood theme in it.Had same paneling upstairs and I remember leading to the basement the railing was actually a giant tree limb and if you weren't careful you would get splinters. It even had a little secret gated garden in the back and the paneling came open in the bedrooms upstairs and you could crawl through the attic between the rooms. I loved that the entrance to the upstairs looked like a closet. To make it more magical my mom put in a rod in the stairwell and kept coats there for awhile so I got to climb through them like a secret passage to go to my room.
